I gather - A poem

I gather…

I gather my thoughts…

And gather my ideas…

I gather my things…

And I gather you are lost.

I smile in the night…

Like a candle at the dawn of time…

And I laugh at the world…

Like a court jester in the House of Doom.

I am a slice of the dawn…

On the surface of the deep…

And the flicker of the torch on the Statue of Liberty…

As Black Lives Shatter.

I live in defiance of your main ideas…

And drink from the fountain of knowledge…

From Books Never Written.

I find inner calm in the theatres of your silly destructions…

And I will rise one day…

And reclaim Our Kingdom…
